McFly's Harry Judd Wins Strictly Come Dancing Final

McFly star Harry Judd was crowned winner on Saturday night, after bandmate Dougie Poynter was announced ‘I’m a Celebrity’ winner earlier in the year.

The star had been getting great scores throughout the show and danced with perfection in the live finals, receiving the winning blessing from both the public vote and the judges’ awards He was joined on-stage by his McFly bandmate as he was crowned winner alongside with professional dancer Aliona Vilani.

“I've been on the best show on TV and I'm just honoured,” Hudd said. “I was so nervous when I first started, and I didn't think I would be able to do it. But somehow Aliona has got me through it. I have just had the most incredible experience.”

He went on to tell how he had involuntarily given up booze during the run of the show, saying; “I could drink if I wanted to, but I don't. I'd rather get to bed as I'm so exhausted.”

The judges loved Judd’s dancing, with Bruno Tonioli saying on the final night: “You came, you danced, and you conquered Blackpool with a quickstep delivered with flash and dash,” with fellow judge Len Goodman adding: “f you were a stick of Blackpool rock, you would have 'talent' written right through you.”
