Formed in 2003, they put out their debut single, 5 Colours in Her Hair, in 2004, which hit #1 on the UK Singles Chart, as did their second single, Obviously. Their debut LP, ‘Room on the 3rd Floor’, debuted at #1 on the UK's Official Albums Chart. Their second LP, 2005's ‘Wonderland’, spawned the #1 singles All About You and I'll Be OK. 'Motion in the Ocean’ dropped in 2006, followed by ‘Radio:Active’ in 2008 and ‘Above the Noise’ in 2010. In 2014 the band joined with Matt Willis and James Bourne of Busted to form McBusted. After reuniting for a huge performance at London's O2 Arena in November 2019, McFly released a new compilation of demos and b-sides called 'The Lost Songs', and followed with 'Young Dumb Thrills', their first full-length in ten years, in November 2020. McFly have rescheduled their Young Dumb Thrills Tour of the UK to September 2021 in response to the coronavirus pandemic, and will play a London show at the O2 in November 2021 that they've billed as One Night Only (again). They've also got a number of outdoor UK shows in the diary for summer 2021, including a rescheduled performance at Newmarket Racecourse in August.
