McFly have announced an outdoor hometown show in Chelmsford for the summer bank holiday weekend.
The BRIT Award-winning pop-rockers will headline Central Park on August 29 as part of the three-day Chelmsford Summer Series. With drummer Harry Judd born in Chelmsford and bassist Dougie Poynter from nearby Corringham, the show will mark a rare homecoming of sorts for the band. The supporting acts are still to be revealed.
McFly already have several major outdoor dates in the diary for the summer, including Pub In The Park Marlow, St. Mary's Stadium in Southampton, Live At Rochester Castle, Borde Hill Summer Series, Live At Lincoln Castle, Forest Live concerts, two nights at Live At The Piece Hall in Halifax, a performance at Cardiff Castle for Depot Live, and show at Glasgow's Summer Nights on the Southside.
Tickets for McFly's new Chelmsford show go on general sale at 2pm on April 14. Their other dates are on sale now.
The band released their latest studio album, 'Power To Play', in 2023. More recently, in spring 2025 they put out the 30-track '21 Live', recorded during their 21st anniversary celebrations at the O2 Arena in London.
Already announced for the Chelmsford Summer Series is New World Festival, which will take over Central Park for its fifth anniversary on August 30 with headliner Craig David presents TS5. Tickets for that are on sale now.
