Van Halen's New Album Artwork Unveiled

Van Halen are expected to reveal further details on the extent of their 2012 40th anniversary tour today, while we wait for news on dates and cities, check out what is supposed to be the official cover art for the band's brand new studio album.

ImageThe artwork, which was broadcast on a giant LED billboard in Times Square in New York City on New Years Eve, illustrates a train from New York's Central System and the number “2.7.12” etched into the band's logo. The number is expected to be the release date for the new album.

Van Halen look set to release their much-anticipated new album, the band's first with original singer David Lee Roth in 28 years, on 7th February. The album will be preceded by the first single and video set to première on 10th January.

Following confirmation of a 40th anniversary tour in 2012, Van Halen are set to reveal dates, venues and ticket details today, 3rd January 2012. Van Halen Tickets are expected to go onsale from 9am onsale Tuesday 10th January.

Van Halen's Official Facebook Page revealed the exciting tour news over the festive period, along with a mass email to fans, directing fans to the band's official YouTube page to check out a "teaser video" announcing the tour.
