Noel Gallagher Was Nervous Of Playing Smaller Size Venues

Alternative rock icon Noel Gallagher has confessed that performing in small venues is something that scares him – especially to fans in the UK, who Noel described as ‘crazy’.
Noel has admitted that he’s so used to playing gigantic stadium shows with his ex-band Oasis, that when he began his first ever solo tour last year, he was daunted by the idea of playing in such intimate venues. After completing the UK leg of his tour, he moved onto America, where he got a feel for smaller-sized shows – because the fans weren’t as crazy as their UK counterparts.
“The first show was fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants and I'd not played anywhere that small for a while, I used to rehearse in bigger rooms than that,” Noel told Zane Lowe. “And it's got better.”
He continued: “To start off in England was quite mad, because the crowds are crazy over here, then we went to America where they are a bit more reserved, so I got into it a bit more, I'm enjoying it.”
He went on to talk about the Stone Roses reunion – letting off that their rehearsals have been sounding awesome.
“I know they've been rehearsing and I've spoken to a couple of people who have been in rehearsal who have said it sounds amazing, but I'm just really made up for them that they finally did it.
“It's great to see John Squire and Ian Brown on stage already, and great that Mani will eventually shut up about not making any money. All he's done for the last 15 years has been, 'Did you know we got robbed in the Roses?”
