Award-winning Jason Derulo has been forced to cancel his upcoming world tour after injuring his neck.
The 22-year-old singer and songwriter broke the news to fans via a statement and told his fans that he felt terrible to have let them down. He was, however, forced into the decision to cancel the shows.
The statement announcing the tour cancellation read: "To all my fans who planned to come to the 'Future History' world tour, the pain of letting you down cuts me way deeper than this injury I've sustained. My fans mean everything to me, so I'm praying for a speedy recovery in order to perform for you in the near future."
Yesterday, 5th January, Stereoboard reported that Jason Derulo suffered a neck injury after he landed on is head awkwardly following an acrobatic move while rehearsing for the tour. Derulo was immediately taken to hospital where doctors found an acute fracture to his vertebra with risk of being paralysed.
Jason Derulo has now left the hospital in Miami and he has been advised to wear a neck brace for the next few months, obviously meaning his World tour has to be cancelled. Ticket holders can expect a full refund at their point of purchase.
