Following a monumental comeback show at New York's Cafe Wha last night, Rock legends Van Halen have unveiled their long-awaited tour dates, as well as the title to their new full-length studio album. At the moment the tour only covers North American and Canada, however, we're hoping the band will pay a visit to the UK sometime later this year.
First up, the new album. 'A Different Kind of Truth', Van Halen's first original studio album with singer David Lee Roth since the band's classic multi-platinum album '1984', has been confirmed for release on 7th February 2012. The first single from the album, 'Tattoo', will be released along with the premiθre of it's accompanying video, on Tuesday 10th January. Fans can pre-order 'A Different Kind Of Truth' on the same day.
Last night's special "press only" show at New York's Cafe Wha saw Van Halen play a string of hits along with another new song entitled 'She's The Woman', another track which is expected to feature on the band's forthcoming new album.

The newly-announced tour, which only features US dates so far, will kick-off on February 18th in Louisville, Kentucky. Van Halen will roll across North America and Canada before concluding the jaunt in New Orleans, on June 26th. Van Halen have promised fans a varied show, featuring sons from both the new album as well as the classics such as 'Eruption,' 'Running with the Devil,' 'Jamie's Cryin',' 'You Really Got Me,' 'Ain't Talkin' 'Bout Love,' 'Everybody Wants Some,' 'Unchained,' 'And The Cradle Will Rock,' 'Jump,' 'Panama' and 'Hot For Teacher'.
