Jessie J & Ed Sheeran Reportedly Leading BRIT Award Nominations

Jessie J and Ed Sheeran are reportedly leading the pack ahead of the 2012 BRIT Award nominations tonight. Both Jessie J and Ed Sheeran are in the running for the major awards, with Jessie J in the running for 'Best Female', 'Best Breakthrough' and 'Best Single' for her single 'Price Tag', reports the BBC.

The full 2012 BRIT Award nominations will be revealed later this evening, 12th January, at a special BRIT bash at London's Savoy Hotel. The event is to be hosted by Radio One DJ Greg James and will feature special performances from Ed Sheeran and 2012's Critics' Choice winner Emeli Sande, who will tonight be presented with her award from last year's winner Jessie J.

Remaining awards will be presented to winners at the 2012 BRIT Awards Ceremony at London's O2 Arena on 21st February. In addition, Britpop legends Blur will collect their Outstanding Contribution To Music Award before giving a live performance at the February bash. Speaking about the award, Damon Albarn has said: "Recognition for all the work and all the heartache that has gone into this band."

Check back to Stereoboard later this evening for a full run-down on who has been nominated for a 2012 BRIT Award.
