Florence + The Machine's Florence: 'X-Factor Performance Was So Frightening"

Indie-pop band Florence + the Machine’s frontwoman Florence has admitted that she was incredibly scared before her performance on the X-Factor, one of her most watched performances to date.

The singer revealed how one of the dancer’s dresses was ripped just seconds before the songs were about to begin, and how she a stylist was running around the stage while she had to keep completely still in one of the most nerve-wracking experiences of her life.

“Just before it went live one of the dancers' dresses got ripped and the stylist had to run on stage as they were counting down to the start,” Florence told the Daily Star. “I had to stay really still and it was one of the most high-pressured things I've ever done. I was freaking out inside - it was so frightening. We all talked about how much could go wrong - I'm surprised more doesn't happen with live TV performances.”

She went on to say that she was hugely excited to meet one of her heroes Tulisa, confessing: “I was really excited to meet Tulisa Contostavlos - I think she's amazing.”
