Bruce Springsteen Reveals Album Title And Details

62 year-old rock legend Bruce Springsteen has announced the title of his brand new album along with the release date and a tracklisting.

‘Wrecking Ball’ is set to be Springsteen’s 18th studio album, and his first since 2009’s ‘Working on a Dream’. Set for a release on March 5th, it’ll mean Bruce has a whole range of new material to play out during his summer UK dates, festival appearances and his European tour.

Springsteen has been working on the album for a number of years, and his E Street band played out the title track of the album as far back as 2009, when they were touring the world. The first single from the album, ‘We Take Care of Our Own’, leaked online yesterday – just one day prior to its official release, which was scheduled for today. You can hear the track below.

The star’s manager Jon Landau talked about the album in an interview with the Rolling Stone yesterday, and said: “It's a rock record that combines elements of both Bruce's classic sound and his Seeger Sessions experience, with new textures and styles.”

Landau went on to talk about working with new producers on the album, which features Rage Against the Machine’s superstar guitarist Tom Morello and producer Ron Aniello. “It was an experimental effort with a new producer. Bruce and Ron used a wide variety of players to create something that both rocks and is very fresh.”

If you’re a fan of Bruce, you can catch him at a number of shows and festivals this summer, including the Isle of Wight Festival. Check the dates and details below. The tracklisting for the album is also below.
