'I Often Thought Liam's Role In Oasis Must Have Been Difficult,' Says Noel Gallagher

Noel Gallagher has continued the on-going dispute between him and his brother Liam, this time giving him a dig about the fact that Liam never wrote any of the songs during their time in Oasis.
Noel confessed to the Yorkshire Evening Post that he thought Liam had a ‘tough’ role in the super-famous band – because he said it must have been difficult to sing songs he hadn’t wrote. The comments will most likely be taken as offensive by Liam, especially after Noel’s new band The High Flying Birds saw massive success last year, while Liam’s new project Beady Eye failed to sell as well as Noel’s.
He told the paper: “I often thought Liam's role in Oasis must have been difficult, singing somebody else's songs. You can read the words and understand what they mean but you don't instinctively understand them.
“I know when I write a song now how it's going to sound when I finish it in the studio. 'If I Had A Gun' is obviously a love song but I know what it's about. When I'm singing I know what it means, I know who the person is; I can deliver its sentiment a little better. All the other songs I can deliver the lines with the story. I wrote it so I know what it means.”
