Canadian Solo Artist Grimes Confirms UK Tour Dates in May

Canadian solo artist Claire Boucher – aka Grimes – recently announced the release of her new album ‘Visions’, which is due out on 12th March. The album is her fourth release in two years and is the follow-up to 2010’s ‘Halifaxa’. The video for new single ‘Genesis’ is available to watch below.

Grimes will be touring the US and Canada throughout February and March before heading over to Europe in May – see below for UK dates. She is then set return to the UK and Ireland in June for several festival appearances including London’s Field Day and Forbidden Fruit in Dublin.

Speaking about her music, Grimes said: “It is both an ethereal escape from, and a violent embrace of, my experience. The creative process is a quest for the ultimate sensual, mystical and cathartic experience and the vehicle for my psychic purging. ‘Visions’ was conceived in a period of self-imposed cloistering during which time I did not see daylight.”

Tuesday 8th May 2012 - Brudenell Social Club, Leeds
Wednesday 9th May 2012 – XOYO, London
Thursday 10th May 2012 - Islington Mill, Manchester
Saturday 2nd June 2012 - Field Day Festival, London
Sunday 3rd June 2012 - Forbidden Fruit, Dublin
