Wet Wet Wet bass player Graeme Clark has announced the release of his debut solo album ‘Mr Understanding’, which is due out on 5th March. The album will coincide with the release of new single ‘Kiss of Life’, which is available to listen to below.
Graeme Clark will be heading out on tour later this month and into March, around the time of the album’s release – see below for all dates.
Speaking about ‘Mr Understanding’, Clark said: “It took me a long time to compose the material I felt would suit me. I put a lot more into the writing. Not having a deadline made it easier and I could work at my own pace. I’m genuinely excited about the creative processes and have found my love of songwriting once again.”
To find out more about ‘Mr Understanding’, Clark can be heard speaking about the album in the video below, in which he also performs his new single ‘Kiss of Life’
Wet Wet Wet have released eight albums since their formation in 1982, three of which reached the top of the UK Albums Chart. The band split up after the release of their seventh album ‘10’ in 1997, but reformed several years later and went on to record their most recent album, 2007’s ‘Timeless’.
Wet Wet Wet have also had several Number One hits, including their cover of The Troggs’ classic ‘Love Is All Around’. The single spent 15 consecutive weeks at the top of the chart in 1994 following its appearance in the film ‘Four Weddings and a Funeral’.
