Irish Indie-Rockers The Coronas Announce May UK Tour

Irish indie-rockers The Coronas have announced plans for a UK tour in May, supporting latest album 'Closer To You'.

The Coronas, popular for their high energy live shows and repeat hit albums, have created an army of fans across the country as well as the world and have released three studio albums, 'Heroes or Ghosts', 'Tony Was an Ex-Con' and most recently 'Closer to You' in November last year.

Their first album 'Heroes Or Ghosts' brought them widespread popular acclaim with songs such as, 'Heroes or Ghosts' and San Diego Song'. Second album, 'Tony Was an Ex-Con', received Best Irish Album at the 2010 Meteor Awards, beating Snow Patrol's 'Up To Now' and U2's 'How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb' among others.

The Coronas were special guests on The Script’s European Tour and have played sell-out shows in New York, Vancouver and San Francisco. Sir Paul McCartney personally requested that they open his Dublin show in Summer 2010!
