Ailing Fan To Accompany Taylor Swift To The ACM Awards

Taylor Swift will be taking Kevin McGuire, an 18-year-old from Somerdale, New Jersey along to the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas in April.
Kevin, who has leukaemia, originally started a campaign on Facebook to try and score the country pop singer as a prom date. Swift wrote to him saying that unfortunately she couldn't make it to his prom but instead of leaving it at that and leaving Kevin disappointed she invited him to join her at the awards show.
Taylor Swift has nominated for three awards at the show; Entertainer of the Year, Top Female Vocalist and Video of the Year for her video for Mean.
