Taylor Swift Releases New Song I Knew It, I Knew You From Toy Story 5 Soundtrack

Taylor Swift has released a new song, I Knew It, I Knew You.
Written and produced with longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff, the track will feature on the official soundtrack to Disney and Pixar's Toy Story 5, the upcoming film from director and screenwriter Andrew Stanton.
Drawing inspiration from the character Jessie's journey, which began in Toy Story 2, the song sees the 14-time Grammy Award-winner return to her country roots. Posting on social media, she wrote:
"I’ve always dreamed of getting to write for these characters who I’ve adored since I was a five year old kid watching the first Toy Story movie. I fell instantly in love with Toy Story 5 when I was lucky enough to see it in its early stages, and I wrote this song as soon as I got home from the screening. Sometimes you just know, right?"
Stanton added: "It’s incredible just how meaningful it’s been having Taylor write and perform this song. Her connection to Jessie and the immediate way she understood what the character was going through was undeniable. The song is so deeply connected to ‘Toy Story.’ So much so that on first listen, it instantly felt like it had always belonged there, like a long-lost family member. It was kismet."
The soundtrack is due out on June 19, the same day the film is released in cinemas. Swift, meanwhile, released her 12th studio album, 'The Life Of a Showgirl', last October, followed by 'The Life Of a Showgirl + Acoustic Collection' in November, an expanded edition with bonus unplugged songs.
Her six-part documentary, Taylor Swift I The Eras Tour I The End Of An Era, which captures the final show of her record-breaking tour in Vancouver, Canada last December is now streaming on Disney+.
