Taylor Swift Announces New Eras Tour Docuseries And Concert Film

Taylor Swift has announced a new docuseries and concert film.
The six-part series is titled Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The End Of An Era and will offer an exclusive behind the scenes look at the pop icon's record-breaking tour and will premiere on Disney+ on December 12. The first two episodes will be available for streaming straight away, followed by two episodes fortnightly.
An accompanying concert film of the same name will be released alongside the series' first two episodes, capturing the tour's grand finale in Vancouver, Canada. The feature-length will give fans the first chance to see 'The Tortured Poets Department' era on the big screen, showcasing material added to The Eras Tour set list after the album's release last year.
Swift's original The Eras Tour concert film came out in 2023, before the album dropped, and so didn't include any of its songs, though it did span her full discography prior to that. Announcing the news with a teaser trailer posted on social media, Swift wrote:
"It was the End of an Era and we knew it. We wanted to remember every moment leading up to the culmination of the most important and intense chapter of our lives, so we allowed filmmakers to capture this tour and all the stories woven throughout it as it wound down. And to film the final show in its entirety.
"The Eras Tour | The Final Show, featuring the entire Tortured Poets Department set, and the first two episodes of The End of an Era, a 6-episode behind-the-scenes docuseries will be yours December 12th on Disney+."
The 14-time Grammy-winner released her 12th studio album, 'The Life Of a Showgirl', earlier in October. She recently unveiled a video for the opening track, The Fate of Ophelia. Head here for our review.
