Grandaddy & Alabama Shakes Added To End Of The Road Festival Line-Up

The End of the Road Festival today confirmed a Sunday headline slot for Grandaddy, newly reformed to play a limited number of shows of which this is their only UK festival slot.

Also joining the bill are Brittany Howard’s rock and roll four-piece Alabama Shakes, a welcome festival appearance from a band who played their first UK show only last week and count everyone from Jack White to David Byrne among their fans.

Today’s lineup additions :

Alabama Shakes
The Deep Dark Woods
Dirty Beaches
Eagle and the Worm
Grandaddy
Porcelain Raft
Willis Earl Beal

They join a lineup featuring Grizzly Bear, Midlake, Beach House and Tindersticks, as well as Dirty Three, The Low Anthem, Anna Calvi, Villagers, Roy Harper, John Grant, The Antlers and many more. For full line-up details, please visit www.endoftheroadfestival.com.

The festival, now in its seventh year, recently won Best Small Festival at the 2011 UK Festival Awards following an amazing year with a critically lauded line-up led by Beirut, Joanna Newsom and Mogwai.

This year End of the Road is joined by a sister festival, No Direction Home, which will set up camp at Welbeck Abbey on the edge of Sherwood Forest from 8th – 10th June 2012 and will be headlined by Richard Hawley, Andrew Bird and The Low Anthem.
