Birdy Confirms Debut Headline Gig At London's Tabernacle

15-year-old singer/songwriter, Birdy (AKA Jasmine Van den Bogaerde) has unveiled details of her debut headline gig. She will play The Tabernacle in London on Thursday 12th April with tickets going onsale this coming Friday 9th March.

Ever since her version of Bon Iver’s ‘Skinny Love’ hit the radio, the New Forest singer has received rotation on a variety of radio playlists including Radio 1, Heart FM, and XFM of her follow up singles 'Shelter' and 'People Help The People'. Furthermore, she has had continuous support from Radio 1’s Fearne Cotton who Birdy met for her first radio interview and Live Lounge performance.

After her performances of ‘Shelter’ and her cover of Ed Sheeran’s ‘The A Team’, she was the 2nd most viewed UK musician on YouTube. In total, she’s had more than 29 million combined views of her content on YouTube and has acquired over 45,000 followers on her Official Twitter.

Her album features unique interpretations of songs by Bon Iver, Cherry Ghost, Phoenix, The National, The Postal Service and The xx. The album also features an original track; 'Without A Word', which was given
away via her website as a free download prior to the album release downloaded over 10 thousand times.

She recently performed on the final of The Voice in Holland and one of her original songs will feature on the upcoming soundtrack for ‘Hunger Games’ out later this month. Her new single ‘1901’ is out next Monday,
12th March.
