A$AP Rocky's First Show In London Turns Into Chaos

New York rapper Rakim Mayers, a.k.a A$AP Rocky, has managed to finish a show in absolute frenzy once again this week, after his first ever show in London ended with almost the entire crowd ambushing the stage as they tried to get closer to the star and his group the A$AP Mob.

The incident follows his set at SXSW Festival’s Vice Kills Texas Party, which was ended prematurely after an audience member stole one of the group’s do-rags – sparking a huge brawl, and marks one of the star’s first performances in the UK.

The gig, which was held in Cargo, saw fans queuing for around two hours before Rocky took to the stage and ended in chaos as the rapper and his group toyed with and provoked the crowd to get wild – with members crowd surfing and fans climbing the rafters.

The star played a nine-track set, with temperatures rising increasingly after each track. By the time they reached the final song, ‘Peso’, the crowd could no longer be contained, and they rushed the stage – with A$AP Mob members pulling fans up if they couldn’t get there themselves.

After the show, he told NME: “That was fucking awesome. It's really far from home so, y'know, you just don't expect to get a reaction like that. I feel really fucking honoured.”

A$AP Rocky shows are quickly becoming some of the most talked about live shows of the moment. If you’re a fan, you won’t want to miss out on them – so make sure you catch him at one of his up and coming UK gigs. Check the dates and details below to find out more.
