Welsh producer Lung, Hospital records latest Med School prodigy, has unveiled his first ever music video for the track ’Why Does Anyone Ever Do Anything’, which features female vocalist Rachel K Collier.
The track is the first to be taken from the Cardiffian’s forthcoming EP, and will be released on April 16th as a digital download and on 12” vinyl, backed with a spacey dubstep track entitled ‘Sky People’. It’s a first look at what Lung has in store for this year, having only recently signed with the drum and bass label’s sister label Med School, and the soon-come EP will be followed by an album – which could hit shelves by the end of the year.
The track is a wonderfully constructed piece of music, combining a lovely bassline with an array of musical instruments, including a soothing string section and a soft but driving percussion section that carries the song together. Combined with the brilliant vocals of vocalist Rachel K Collier, the track is a perfect example of a drum and bass track that can be enjoyed by both those who love and live for drum and bass, and those who aren’t your regular 170bpm bass addicts.
If you can’t wait to get your hands on the 12”, you can at least check out the music video – which we’ve embedded below.
