Blossoms have returned with a new single, Joke About Divorce.
Produced by Shawn Lee, the upbeat indie-pop track marks the first new music from the Stockport band since their 2024 fifth album 'Gary', the subsequent 'Gary's Covers' album and last year's deluxe edition. "During every argument, no matter how big or small, there’s always that moment where humour could completely disarm you both and diffuse the whole thing.
"On this occasion, I thought joking about divorce would do exactly that… I just got the timing completely wrong. Instead, it made things worse, and that moment ended up immortalised in a three-and-a-half-minute pop song."
Having recently wrapped up a European tour, Blossoms are set to headline Neighbourhood Weekender in Warrington in May. Tickets are on sale now.
