Rihanna Eager To Start Writing And Recording New Album

Barbados-born beauty Rihanna has confirmed to Capital FM that she has begun work on her seventh studio album, which will be her first since last year’s ‘Talk That Talk’.

The seriously prolific singer will begin writing and recording tracks for the LP later this year, and could even potentially release the new record before the end of the year too – even though she also has a fashion project up her sleeve too.

“I'm definitely thinking about the next record,” Rihanna revealed. “I'm a multi-tasker Right now we're working on collecting and creating the sound first before we even start working on the lyrical direction or melodies. I kind of have an idea though, and it's very rough right now. So I'm eager to start that.”

She added: “Before that we'll be getting into more fashion stuff and, I can't really talk about it, but my fans will be very happy, especially my British fans.”

The album could feature a collaboration with Katy Perry, who Rihanna recently said she’d love to collaborate with.

Rihanna said: “We are still trying to make a song together, Katy Perry and I. She is one of my favourite musicians as well as one of my favourite people in the industry. She's very uncalculated, very sure of herself, and that's something that's very rare in this industry to find. We connected really quickly.”

You can catch Rihanna in some of her skimpy outfits at this year’s Wireless Festival in Hyde Park, where she’ll be performing alongside Drake, deadmau5 and many more. If you need tickets, check the link below.
