Rihanna has shared her first new song since 2022.
Friend Of Mine, produced by Jon Bellion, Fallen, and Pete Napi, is a clubby, Afrobeats-inspired dance-pop track that was written and recorded for the upcoming animated Smurfs film, which is set to premiere on July 18.
In addition to contributing to the soundtrack, the Barbadian singer also voices the character Smurfette in the film, as well as serving a producer.
The full soundtrack, which also features DJ Khaled, Cardi B, and Desi Trill's February single Higher Love, is set for release on June 13 via Roc Nation Distribution.
Friend Of Mine follows Rihanna's two 2022 songs, Born Again and Lift Me Up, both of which featured on the 'Black Panther: Wakanda Forever - Music From and Inspired By' compilation for the Marvel film of the same name.
She released her most recent studio album, 'Anti', in 2016, and is currently pregnant with her third child with A$AP Rocky.
