Reports have surfaced revealing that Electric Six will embark on a 10th Anniversary Tour later this year, performing their debut album ‘Fire’ in it’s entirety for the first time in the UK. So far a date has surfaced for a show at London's O2 Shepherds Bush Empire on 15th December 2012, check back to Stereoboard for further UK shows.
Formerly known as The Wildbunch, Electric Six's style of music cannot be named. There are simply no real words for it. Certainly rock influenced, the group fuse elements of “disco-synth-pop-glam” and “punk-new-wave-arena-rock-metal” to deliver mind-blowing songs and performances that are most definitely 'High Voltage'.
Detroit six-piece Electric Six gained recognition in 2003 after breaking through with the album 'Fire' and the singles 'Danger! Danger! High Voltage!' and 'Gay Bar'. Seven albums followed in the shape of 'Señor Smoke', 'Switzerland', the superbly-titled 'I Shall Exterminate Everything Around Me That Restricts Me from Being the Master', 'Flashy', 'KILL', 'Zodiac' and latest offering 'Heartbeats and Brainwaves'.
