Hologram Tupac Creator Hoping To Bring Back Range Of Stars

The man behind the incredible Tupac Shakur hologram which performed at this year’s Coachella Festival alongside Snoop Dogg and Dr Dre has revealed that he and his team are interested in bringing back a huge selection of famous musicians – including Jimi Hendrix, Michael Jackson, Elvis Presley and Whitney Houston.

While Dr Dre is still deciding whether he and his team will be taking Tupac on a tour of the world, Sanj Surati, Head of Music at Musion Technology, has got big plans for his innovative hologram program and is hoping to resurrect some of the biggest names in the game – though you may cringe at his idea to bring back Elvis Presley for a performance alongside Justin Bieber, which he thinks ‘would be a cool thing’.

Asked by NME who was on his list of hopeful holograms, Surati replied: “Jimi Hendrix, Kurt Cobain, oh and Michael Jackson would be the ultimate one. Maybe even Whitney Houston.”

Surati has previously shown his advocacy of taking Tupac on tour and may spearhead an influx of holographic performances worldwide. Of the Tupac touring idea, he said: “This is obviously a historic and exciting initiative that we're all witnessing currently, and it would make sense for them to bring it to Europe and maybe take it to the rest of the world.”
