Akon Looking To Sign American Idol's Jessica Sanchez?

American singer-songwriter Akon has revealed that he'd really love to work with American Idol contestant Jessica Sanchez, after watching the 16 year-old on the show.
The 39 year-old star is a big fan of the singer and has even shown major interest in signing her to his own label Kon Live Distribution, despite the show not finishing until later this year. Speaking to E! News, Akon even went on to claim that she was 'overqualified' for Ameircan Idol.
“I know I shouldn't be saying this, but I kind of want her to get voted off so I can sign her,” Akon quipped. “She's beyond the talent that's supposed to be there. I think she's overqualified, I really do. She's only 16. Like, I've been around a lot of superstars. I haven't seen anyone at that age sing like that.”
