Supersonic Festival 2012 Makes First Line-Up Announcement

The UK’s finest experimental music event, Supersonic, has announced its first acts and details for 2012. The festival, which takes place at Birmingham’s The Custard Factory on 19th-21st October, celebrates its tenth birthday this year and, unsurprisingly, organisers are set on celebrating in style with a typically stunning and diverse line-up.

Amongst the first announcements is an exceptionally rare UK show for German doom jazz act Bohren & der Club of Gore. Without question one of the most interesting bands ever to have emerged from, well, anywhere and at pretty much any time, the quartet will be bringing their unique brand of avant-garde sound to Birmingham.

Also announced has been Justin K. Broadrick of Godflesh, in his guise as JK Flesh (under which he recently released the killer 'Posthuman' album). Tim Hecker, master of ambient drone, will also be making an appearance as well as the likes of Lichens, Sir Richard Bishop, Zeni Geva, Six Organs of Admittance, Rangda, Goat, Flower / Corsano, Dylan Carlson, Dope Body and Carlton Melton.

Supersonic Festival Tickets are available now and are priced at a very reasonable £80.00. See the Supersonic website for details: www.supersonicfestival.com.
