Comedy rockers Tenacious D have made their brand new album 'Rize of the Fenix' available to stream online in full.
Though the album, which is the third of their career, will not see a full release until May 14th, fans can listen to every song in full on SoundCloud. The duo, consisting of School of Rock star Jack Black and his partner Kyle Gass, were joined by Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl for the recording of the album, with Grohl once again playing drums for the band.
Jack Black recently told Rolling Stone that he was unhappy the lack of great rock bands in today's music scene. He said: “When you think about rock at its origin, and you think of the Beatles and millions of kids screaming as loud as they can and running as fast as they can towards the Beatles, there's no one who is that kind of lightning rod, who commands that kind of power and has that kind of creative magma. I contend that the last band to really have that kind of power, I'm gonna say, was Nirvana. Who since Nirvana has been as big as Nirvana, in that way?”
