No Big Name Collaborations On New Album, Says The Prodigy's Liam Howlett

The Prodigy frontman Liam Howlett has revealed more of the details of their forthcoming new album, after revealing yesterday that the album would be called 'How to Steal a Jet Fighter'.

The world-famous electronic dance producers are working on the follow-up to their 2009 album 'Invaders Must Die', and have told their fans that there'll be no big name collaborations on there – as the group are bored of them. He didn't, however, rule out the idea of working with someone 'lower down the scale'.

Asked by NME if there was any nice collaborations on the LP, Howlett said: “Nothing well known at this stage. Maybe later down the line. I tend to try to work with people that are more lower down the scale, I’m bored of the big collaborations. Maybe on a production level there's a few people I’m working with people lower down the scale.”

The site then asked Howlett about the other members of the band, and how much they'd be contributing to the new album.

“They’ve been in the studio with me. Even if they’re not working on lyrics every day, definitely a few days a week they’re come in, have a listen, talk about it. I made the mistake in the past, not the last record but before, where I delivered finished tracks. I think it would have been better with some input along the way.”

The band have already performed two new tracks from the album, 'A.W.O.L' and 'Dogbite', at shows in Brazil at the end of 2011, and will debut some new tracks at the end of their set at Download Festival in June. Click here to Compare & Buy The Prodigy Tickets at Stereoboard.
