Blackpool-based singer-songwriter Karima Francis has unveiled the video for her new track ‘Glory Days’ - check it out below!
Francis releases the stirring, self-penned new single ‘Glory Days’ on August 6th, ahead of the release of her sophomore album ‘Remedy’, which hits shelves a week later on August 13th.
‘Glory Days’ is the rousing, emotionally charged centrepiece from the star’s extraordinary new album ‘The Remedy’, which expresses – in just a few words – exactly where she’s coming from; “They are weak but strong,” she sings, “who fail but carry on.”
It captures the album’s overriding sense of rediscovered strength, perspective and newfound joy, standing tall as a brave statement of intent and together as part of a unifying whole. ‘Glory Days’ has been well-recieved by the press, too - The Independent wrote: “it’s great to have Karima Francis back,” whilst The Sunday Times Culture called the new album“beautiful, brave and raw.”
After gaining new fans on her recent UK tour, what is surely one of the high points of Karima’s career is just around the corner - playing the main stage at Hyde Park’s Hard Rock Calling on July 15th, the day of Paul Simon’s headline performance. Make sure you check her out if you’re around.
