Primordial, Textures And Bossk Added To Damnation Line-Up

Fans of underground metal will be rejoicing this morning at the news that Damnation Festival has added Primordial, Textures and Bossk to its 2012 line-up.

ImageIrish pagan metallers Primordial blew us away when they turned up on these shores in May. They only played two UK shows but the reception they received was overwhelming and they will be sure to be a highlight of the Damnation bill, as a UK festival exclusive no less, this year with their epic, stirring compositions. Primordial vocalist Alan Averill (or A. A. Nemtheanga to you or I) has stated that the band has “reconnected with playing in the UK” and, as such, this has given Damnation the chance to host the quintet who are still touring in support of the excellent 'Redemption at the Puritan’s Hand' album.

Dutch tech metal sextet Textures will arrive at Damnation with a ton of mind melting time signatures. If you think you can keep up then their set is something to look out for. Meanwhile, recently reformed UK post-metal titans Bossk are returning to play Leeds for the first time in many a moon. Expect plenty of lights, riffs and smoke as well as a new song in the form of 'Pick up Artist', which the band are planning to debut live for lucky Damnation onlookers.

With Primordial and Textures set to appear on the Jagermeister main stage and Bossk set to dominate the Eyesore Merch stage, the next Damnation announcement is set to rip your faces off with some sonic destruction awaiting official addition to the Terrorizer stage. Damnation 2012 takes place at Leeds University Union on 3rd November 2012. For further information, visit www.damnationfestival.co.uk.
