Papa Roach Announce New Album Title

Rock berserkers and multi hit-makers Papa Roach have announced that their forthcoming new album - due out on October 1st - will be called ‘The Connection’.

The new album was recorded at the band’s hometown studio The Red House in Sacramento, and was produced by rock veteran James Michael (Sixx:A.M., Halestorm) and John Feldmann (Panic at the Disco, The Used, Escape the Fate). Last month, Papa Roach gave fans details on their sixth album during a live chat, hosted on the band’s website which saw frontman Jacoby Shaddix, guitarist Jerry Horton, bassist Tobin Esperance and drummer Tony Palermo interact with fans from around the world.

The first single from ‘The Connection’ will be ‘Still Swingin’’ (produced by John Feldman), which many fans may have heard during last night’s Major League Baseball All Stars Home Run Derby on ESPN. The track will be featured by ESPN/MLB in select games/events for the next few weeks. “Still Swingin” is due for release on September 2nd - to hear a snippet of the track and catch some behind-the-scenes footage of the band filming its video in New York City, check the video below.

Known for their electrifying and explosive live shows, Papa Roach have become the common denominator for some of the most successful rock tours in recent years and have critics worldwide hailing them as “the best live band.” With their feet firmly planted in over 10 years of multi-format success, Papa Roach’s ‘Time For Annihilation…On the Record and On the Road’ (Eleven Seven Music, August 2010) debuted at #1 on the Billboard Independent Rock chart, and #8 in the UK Independent Rock Chart. The album’s singles, ‘Kick in the Teeth’ and ‘Burn’ both remained in the Top 5 at the active rock radio format for over 8 weeks straight, joining 8 additional Top 10 hits throughout the band’s career, with songs such as ‘Last Resort’ and ‘Scars’.
