Blonds Unveil 'Time' Ahead Of Debut Album Release - Listen Now

Dream pop/trip-hop duo Blonds have unveiled their latest single ‘Time’, ahead of the release of their debut album ‘The Bad Ones’ on August 7th.

Consisting of Cari Rae & Jordy Asher, Blonds are a Brooklyn-by-way-of-Florida boy-girl pair-up who’ve captured attention across the pond in a big way. First bursting onto the scene last November with their debut EP Dark Roots, this duo have since been heralded for their transfixing handle on melodrama, crafting music that has led to authorities like Stereogum, Paste Magazine and Rolling Stone lining up to praise these wistful lovers. The band will release their debut full-length ‘The Bad Ones’ on August 7th - it’s a collection of songs ranging from the slow burning and intimate to the infectious and brutal.

Shortly after releasing their first EP last November, Cari Rae and Jordy Asher packed up their stuff and moved from south Florida to New York City to record an album with producer Nicolas Vernhes (who’s worked with the likes of Dirty Projectors and Deerhunter.) Immersing themselves in NYC and working with the highly regarded Vernhes, it soon became clear that Blonds were creating a very special album. The end result is a body of work that has the power to hold you in a hypnotic thrall, songs that carry a vitality and unique appeal that belie the tender age of this duo. Very much born of another era, Rae & Asher embrace nostalgia with a warmth that you can feel in their gorgeous arrangements.

You can check out ‘Time’, a taster from the forthcoming new album, below.
