Why? Reveal New Album Details

Indie-rock/hip-hop crossover group Why? have revealed some of the details behind their forthcoming fifth studio album, including its name, ‘Mumps, etc’.

ImageNipping at the heels of their eagerly devoured ‘Sod in the Seed EP’ - set for release on August 13th through City Slang (Europe) & Anticon (US) - California's alternative Hip Hop sensation Why? have confirmed that their brand new album ‘Mumps, etc’ will be released on October 8th - which will coincide with an October-time UK tour.

To accompany the announcement, Why? have also given us a glimpse into life behind the scenes with a video documenting the creation and final output of the artwork for ‘Mumps, etc’ - you can check the video out below.

‘Mumps, etc’ is a meticulous work of morbid fascination and offbeat romanticism. Though there is a mysterious sickness (perhaps of the mind) that lurks about it’s thirteen songs, one might also imagine the title as describing the musically swole state of these three Midwestern men as they bring their sound into glisteningly buff focus.

Why UK & Ireland Tour Dates are as follows:

Mon October 8th 2012 - The Old Market, Hove
Tue October 9th 2012 - Electric Ballroom, London
Wed October 10th 2012 - Central Methodist Hall, Manchester
Thu October 11th 2012 - The Fleece, Bristol
Fri October 12th 2012 - SWG3, Glasgow
Sat October 13th 2012 - Bullingdon Arms, Oxford
