Blonds released their debut album 'The Bad Ones' this week - check out the album via the soundcloud player below. The result of lovers Jordy Asher and Cari Rae leaving the sunny shores of Florida and moving to New York city to work with producer Nicholas Vernhes (Dirty Projectors, Deerhunter), 'The Bad Ones' is an album that is sanguine and rousing in sound, burning with a passion characterised by the other wordly vocal of Cari Rae.

A voice that manages to sound both wanton and pained, equal parts ferocious and vulernable, Rae bounces off of the prodigious musical ability of Jordy Asher over 11 tracks to create quite possibly one of the most compelling debut albums of the year thus far. Full of the invention that made their debut EP 'Dark Roots' such a breath of fresh air, 'The Bad Ones' showcases the astonishing growth of this up and coming duo. The album features 'Time' and 'Run', tracks that have been mainstays in the upper echelons of Hype Machine since their release, as well as jewells such as the epic, winding 'Amen', Bond-theme in waiting 'Mr E' and swelling title-track 'The Bad Ones.'
