Delphic Announce Autumn UK Tour

Manchester-based electronic rock outfit Delphic have announced a nine-date UK tour this morning, which could coincide with the release of their highly-anticipated second album.

The quartet will bring their unique brand of electronically-driven rock around Britain this October and November, and will kick off the tour with a gig in Glasgow’s Arches on October 22nd. They’ll then rip through sets in Newcastle, Norwich, Nottingham, Manchester, Sheffield, Bristol, and Portsmouth, before rounding off the trip with a grand finale in London’s Village Underground on November 1st.

You’ll hear all the favourites from the band’s debut album ‘Acolyte’, which debuted at #8 in the UK Albums chart back in 2010, as well as some brand new material, which will most likely feature on their currently untitled second record. Tickets for the show go onsale Friday (August 17th) at 9am, and will start at £13.50 + fees - you can find yours through Stereoboard.

Speaking of their second album, which has taken longer to finish than expected, frontman Rick Boardman said: “We're trying to make something truly great. We're not interested in the rock'n'roll lifestyle. We didn't want to release something that we would mean we could just go back on tour and have fun. We just want to make a really great record.”

Delphic UK and Ireland tour dates are as follows:

22rd October - Glasgow, Arches
23rd October - Newcastle, Digital
25rd October - Norwich, Arts Centre
26rd October - Nottingham, Rescue Rooms
27rd October - Manchester, Gorilla
29th October - Sheffield, Plug
30th October - Bristol, Thekla
31st October - Portsmouth, Wedgewood Rooms
1st November - London, Village Underground
