Billie Joe Armstrong isn't new to stardom, or performing for that matter. But after a career spanning the decades Armstrong admits Bon Jovi are the "worst" band he's ever played alongside, ever. Considering he's taken part in a wide spectrum of shows since the 1980s, this is no frivolous comment to make about the 'Living on a Prayer' hitmakers.
"The best is probably The Hives," he said when asked about his favourite group to have performed with. "They're a great live band." But when asked about his least favourite, the 40-year-old rocker revealed to Kerrang! Magazine: "Oh boy, I have to go with Bon Jovi."
The 'American Idiot' rocker also stated the weirdest thing about Green Day's career is all the rumours about him, especially since the rise of the internet. But luckily he doesn't take them too seriously, despite family being affected.
"I heard that I was dead! That's pretty hard to beat, rumour-wise. I was in Los Angeles recording 'American Idiot', and I got a call from my wife freaking out. It was just internet stuff gone wild."
His band Green Day have just released their latest video 'Nuclear Family', a track taken from their 9th studio album '¡Uno!' released on September 25th, the first of a trilogy of albums. '¡Dos!', and '¡Tré!' will subsequently be released on November 13th, 2012, and January 15th, 2013 respectively.
