X Factor Reject Frankie Cocozza Reveals Debut Single 'She’s Got A Motorcycle' - Listen Here

Tuesday, 06 November 2012 Written by Catherine Rea

After being kicked off the 2011 series of X Factor for being caught taking cocaine, Frankie Cocozza appears in his new video release written by the former X Factor star alongside Sy Rhys Kayne and Jay Reynolds and is taken from Frankie’s debut “The Motorcycle EP”, currently sitting at number 19 in the iTunes chart.

Unlike most X Factor faces, Cocozza’s music has a strong indie rock vibe, mirroring the artists X Factor audition where he sung a Zutons song and performed tracks by The Kinks and Primal Scream during the live shows.

The X Factor bad boy claimed earlier this year that he was bribed to be more rebellious during his time on the show as producers were desperate for viewings and interest in the hopeless singer. "I just got caned week in, week out. I didn't want to be there but they did everything they could to keep me in," Cocozza said. “Then when I kept getting through each week I think they thought: 'Shit, he could win this and we can't have that', so they fucked me off in the most horrible way."

Although the X Factor didn’t host many happy memories for 19-year-old Cocozza, it certainly made him determined that he could make it on his own. Drugs or no drugs, his new EP is certainly popular with his fans.
