The London Evening Standard has revealed the most 20 influential people in London in advance of the event taking place tomorrow. A list has been compiled by a panel of specialist reporters and critics, with names such as music artist Plan B, Prime Minister David Cameron and Olympic Athlete Mo Farah making the select few.

The list of the top twenty names included in “The London Evening Standard’s 1000 Influential People 2012” was published in advance of the annual event taking place tomorrow. The event, now running in its sixth year, will unveil the 1000 individuals that helped make London the world’s most exciting city.

Mayor Boris Johnson was lucky enough to make the title of “The Most Influential Person In London” for the third year running, chosen following his re-election as Mayor and huge role in the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Prime Minister David Cameron was elected as the second most influential person of 2012, though last year he held the number one position with BoJo.

The Olympics feature heavily throughout the top twenty, with film director Danny Boyle in fifth place after he devised the opening ceremony, Olympic organising committee chairman Lord Coe in seventh place and gold medal-winning running Mo Farah coming in as eighth.

The list respected the importance of industries such as fashion, design, music and books in London, with James Bond actor Daniel Craig taking the title of number 17 and EL James, the author of record-breaking Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy, awarded number 14. Rapper and musician Plan B, who has spoken out about gang violence and education featured as number 18 in the top 10, although he is planning on taking a year away from his career after his 2013 tour.

Plan B is also playing his 2013 UK tour, beginning in Newcastle Metro Radio Arena on Febuary 1st. Check below this list for details.
