Man/Woman/Chainsaw are set to release their debut album this summer.
'Cannonball' will arrive on August 7, following their six-track debut EP, 'Eazy Peazy', which dropped in 2024. The news comes alongside the announcement of their signing to Fiction Records, home, among others, to The Cure, St. Vincent, The Horrors and Billie Marten.
Produced by Seth Evans and Margo Broom, the 11-song album will include the London art-punk band's 2025 single Only Girl and the newly shared Nosedive, a hypnotic, synth-driven pop track that runs for almost six minutes. Emmie-Mae, who sings lead vocals on the track and is one of three band members sharing singing duties on the album, commented:
"It's is a song about longing for both comfort and freedom simultaneously in a relationship through the metaphor of being an injured bird needing shelter. We turned it into a danceable upbeat track, which made the tone shift throughout the song as though you find a way to pick yourself up and fly away."
Man/Woman/Chainsaw have a several UK and European festival dates scheduled for the spring and summer, including appearances at Deer Shed and Latitude, followed by a headline UK and Ireland tour later in the year in support of the LP. Tickets are on sale now.
