If you heard a very high pitched scream earlier today, and are worried that you may have heard the aftermath of a serious incident, don’t be alarmed. What you heard was simply the sound of teenage girls around the world rejoicing - after reports emerged that Canadian superstar Justin Bieber has split from long-term girlfriend Selena Gomez.
Yes, after two years, Justena Biebmez (not the best of celebrity couple names) have apparently broken up due to their intensely busy work schedules - which see Gomez working on new Disney Channel programs and Bieber touring the world in support of new album ‘Believe’.
A source close to the couple has told US Weekly: “Selena broke up with Justin about a week ago. It's been a really challenging experience over the last year because of their crazy schedules. Selena definitely had some major trust issues with Justin.
“They are [young] . . . it changes from day to day. Right now it is a break and tomorrow it could be back on knowing them . . . it's hard to say how they will end up. Maybe she feels more serious about it this time. We'll see.”
