Alt-J have been the rising stars of 2012. They've just won the 20th Mercury Music Prize and have received well-deserved, universal critical praise.
The debut album 'An Awesome Wave', released by Infectious Music, is one of those rare records that works in it's entirety, drawing upon very personal and intimate lyrics and weaving them with their own brand of distressed alt-pop.
They've played all the key festivals this summer, and their legion of fans is growing by the day, and here you can see why. The band are great live. This track 'Matilda' is the current single and is set to take the band to new heights, especially once the Mercury Music Prize hype kicks in.
