Fleetwood Mac To Release New Music Before Tour

British-American rock icons Fleetwood Mac will release new music before their world tour kicks off later this year, it has been revealed.

The band will kickstart their hugely-anticipated world tour in April, before bringing their show to the UK for gigs this autumn - possibly in September or October. Though they’re touring in celebrating of the 35th anniversary of seminal album ‘Rumours’, drummer Mick Fleetwood has revealed that they’ve been working on new music ahead of it.

Speaking to BBC 6 Music, Fleetwood said: “We decided, myself and Lindsey, went into the studio and created a calling card for Stevie letting her know we wanted to make new music. We had the greatest time and we made some really good music. Then her mother died and it wasn't time for her to be singing.

"Just recently though she has sung on three of them and we've recorded one original song of hers. So, we're going to go crazy and there will be something out that we will play onstage and that might become part of a long term plan over the next year. Our wish is going to come true and we will finish an album. I hope there is a demand for it, after we throw two or three songs out on the Internet, and we might make an album.”

With the US leg of their tour kicking off in just a couple of months, it can’t be long until we catch a preview of their new tunes - so keep your eyes peeled on Stereoboard for updates in the coming weeks! Are you excited for the tour? Let us know in the comment section below.
