English singer-songwriter and music producer James Blake has announced a trio of April UK tour dates today, which will coincide with the release of his sophomore record ‘Overgrown’.
Blake has spent the past couple of years building up a hefty fanbase, following him finishing as runner up in the BBC Sound of 2011 poll. Releasing his eponymous debut album in February 2011, and charting across the globe (#9 here in the UK), Blake shot into the public eye, and doesn’t plan on leaving anytime soon.
Having debuted new songs last year, Blake has almost completed work on what will be his second studio album ‘Overgrown’, and it’s set for an April 8th release. The day after, he kicks off a three-date mini-tour, meaning some of you lucky fans will get a chance to catch him performing his new music live.
The tour kicks off in London’s Heaven on April 9th, and then sees him travelling to Manchester’s Academy 2 the following day. The mini-tour then concludes at The Arches in Glasgow on April 11th. Tickets for the gigs go on sale this Friday (February 15th) at 9am, and will cost you £12.50 + fees (London £15.00 + fees) - you can find yours through Stereoboard using the links below.
