Green Day Announce First Performance Since Billie Joe Armstrong's Rehab Admission

American punk rock icons Green Day have announced their first show since frontman Billie Joe Armstrong was admitted into rehab.
Armstrong entered rehab in September last year, forcing the band to cancel and postpone a number of tour dates. Months later, the singer and guitarist seems to have made a recovery, and the band are ready to get back on stage together once again.
Green Day will rock out at their first ever appearance for the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas, performing at ACL Live at Moody Theatre on March 15th - the same day that their film ‘Broadway Idiot’ makes it’s world premiere.
Described as a peak ‘behind the curtain with Green Day lead singer, Billie Joe Armstrong, as he ventures onto Broadway with American Idiot’, the film will also see it’s first play at the SXSW Festival. Also released on March 15th is ‘¡Cuatro!’, a behind-the-scenes film of the making of the band’s trilogy album ‘¡Uno! ¡Dos! ¡Tré!’.
