French alt-rockers Phoenix have unveiled the brand new video for their track ‘Entertainment’, ahead of the release of their forthcoming album ‘Bankrupt!’
News of Phoenix’s fifth studio album ‘Bankrupt!’, sent the internet wild upon being announced last week, and now the band have offered up the first taste of the new record ‘Entertainment’ - and they’ve accompanied it with a brand new music video, directed by Patrick Daughters.
Following its premiere on Zane Lowe’s Radio 1 show recently, the track went straight to #1 on Hype Machine and has had over a million plays so far. This is the band’s first step towards what is destined to be a massive summer - and there’ll definitely be some gigging involved.
A series of U.S. tour dates will culminate in a Saturday night headline slot at this year’s Coachella, before the French outfit return to Europe to play a string of some of the continent’s biggest festivals, starting with a headline Thursday night slot at Primavera Sound in Barcelona. They’ll also be performing at Longitude Festival this year, whilst more UK and Ireland festival news is still to come.
‘Bankrupt!’ hits shelves on April 22nd, so you haven’t got long to wait - for now, check the ‘Entertainment’ video out below!
