Alicia Keys Announces Miguel As Support For 'Set the World On Fire' UK Tour

Fourteen-time Grammy Award winning singer, songwriter, and producer Alicia Keys announces that Grammy nominated American artist Miguel will be supporting her on some of the dates of the UK leg of her forthcoming 'Set the World On Fire Tour'.

Image“I’m so happy to be touring in the UK again, and beyond excited to have Miguel join me.” Says Alicia. “He's a fresh real artist and I love his unique style and sound. His Grammy performance blew me away and I can't wait to see what he brings on tour! I know his destiny is bright!"

Described as “one of R&Bs biggest game changers”, 27 year-old eclectic singer songwriter and producer Miguel released his progressive debut album, 'All I want Is You', in 2010 after working on albums by Usher, Musiq Soulchild and Jaheim. His follow up album, the critically acclaimed 'Kaleidoscope Dream' released by RCA Records in October 2012, was produced by Salaam Remi, Pop & Oak and Jerry Wonda amongst others, and includes the track ‘Where is the Fun in Forever’ featuring and co-written by Alicia Keys. Miguel has previously toured with Mary J Blige, Usher and Trey Songz, and supported Keys last year when she headlined the final night of 1Xtra Live in Birmingham.

“This tour is definitely going to be on fire! I love Alicia because whether its 5 or 500,000 people she’s performing for she exudes this hypnotic honesty and transparent artistry.” Says Miguel. “I think that’s what this tour will be remembered for the most.”

Keys’ fifth studio album, 'Girl On Fire' – which topped the iTunes charts of over 20 countries worldwide when it was released by RCA Records in November last year - was written and produced by Alicia alongside collaborators Jeff Bhasker, (Kanye West, Bruno Mars), Salaam Remi ,(Amy Winehouse, Nas), Frank Ocean, Emile Sande, and Jamie XX among others.

The Set The World on Fire Tour will see Keys set the UK alight next May in Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester, Birmingham, Nottingham and London.
