Daft Punk Reveal New Album Details

French electro-house duo Daft Punk have revealed the details behind their long-awaited new album, which got the world talking when campaigning began last week.

After almost a year of hints, posters, pictures, subtle messages, and mysterious television adverts, the secretive French pair have revealed that their brand new, fifth studio album will be called ‘Random Access Memories’, and is set to hit shelves on May 21st.

Set for a release via Columbia’s Daft Life Limited subsidiary, the album does in fact feature the 13 songs which we found registered by Sony last week, though the names of the tracks are still currently unknown.

There are still a lot more details to be confirmed - we’ve heard a number of rumours of about collaborations, including tracks with the likes of Nile Rodgers and Paul Williams - so you’ll have to stick with us to keep up-to-date. A sample of the new material is available over at www.randomaccessmemories.com.

We also understand that some sources believe a world tour is set to follow the album, and could take place in either this year or next. Would you like to see the duo on the road in the near future? Let us know your thoughts in the comment box below. For now, we wait!
