1D's Liam Payne Embarrassed By Taxi Driver - After He Turns Off One Direction Track During Ride!

It’s true to say that X Factor boyband One Direction are a bit of a marmite act; you either wildly love them, or hate them with a passion. Fortunately, it’s not too often we see either side of the divide clash, but when they do, it can sometimes lead to some rather hilarious situations - such as 1D star Liam Payne’s taxi driver turning off one of the band’s songs in disgust!
The young lad suffered a pretty embarrassing taxi journey after jumping in a cab with his mate Andy to go to Stamford Bridge, where they were going to watch a football match. When you’re part of a chart-topping group like One Direction, we imagine it’s pretty common to hear your own voice blaring from the radio, so it was no biggie when their new Blondie cover ‘One Way or Another’ came on in the car.
Whether he enjoys hearing his own voice is another question, but one person who we know doesn’t like the sound of Payne and co. coming through his speakers is the taxi driver that picked them up - as he turned off the track’ just 30 seconds after it came on the radio!
Recalling the event, Payne’s mate Andy wrote via Twitter: “In a taxi with @Real_Liam_Payne then 'One Way Or Another' came on, after about 30 seconds the taxi man changed station. Laughing to bad lol. Never laughed so much in my entire life, my chest hurts and I thought I was having a heart attack. It was mad!”
Luckily for the 1D boys, there are more than enough people who enjoy the track, and it hit #1 upon release earlier this year. If you’re one of those that does wildy love One Direction, you’ll be happy to know there are still 16 gigs left on their current UK tour.
